“Children learn as they play. Most importantly, in play children learn how to learn” O. Fred Donaldson
The co-curricular opportunities RVB provides make for a more motivated and engaged group of students, which
leads to a happier and more cohesive school.
We expect our students to be involved in co-curricular activities and offer a diverse range of opportunities with
sporting, performance or other activities to choose from. Students who consistently participate and achieve in co-
curricular activities are motivated when recognized in regular assemblies
PERFORMING ARTS AND VISUAL ARTS: Blending culture and passion across a diverse, creative landscape, Rungta Vidya Bhavan is home to a vibrant and
dedicated community which celebrates and practices art in the form of public speaking, visual arts, music, dance and
theatre.
DEED (Debating, Elocution, Extempore, Drama) classes are held throughout the year and the students’ talents are
showcased at the various inter – house, intra – school and inter-school events.”
SCHOOL TRIPS :
We at RVB believe that learning is incomplete without the experiential component. Keeping this our focus RVB
organizes school trips. Every efforts are made to ensure that the students explore the natural world around them, seeing
what they have learnt in the classroom come alive. There are trips for every grade.
- Educational Trips.
- Community Outreach Trips.
- Subject /theme based trips to support the curriculum.
ENVIRONMENT INITIATIVES :
Rungta Vidya Bhavan will have a very active Environment Programme called “Pari Vartan ”
It will work towards developing a sense of responsibility and purpose in the children. The school will initiate many
programmes, to name a few :
Anti-Cracker and Child Labour Campaign :
This Campaign is to bring awareness amongst students against use of crackers and to bring awareness with regard to
their manufacturing, especially those done by young underage children in deplorable conditions.
Save The Tiger Programme :
Under the “Kids for Tigers Programme” children are made aware about endangered animals and birds, especially the
Tiger and appreciate the fine balance between man and Nature.
E- Waste Campaign and Plastic Awareness :
An awareness drive/ workshop is conducted to help students reduce, reuse and recycle E-Waste. The school being a
‘No Poly Bag Zone’- use of alternative materials and products like clothes and jute bags is greatly propagated and
encouraged amongst students.
SPORTS :
RVB Bharuch takes pride in providing best-in-class sports facilities like Cricket field, Basket Ball Court, Yoga
room, Indoor Sports Arena with Table tennis, Carom, Chess etc. For the younger ones, we have created a specially
designed play area with sand pit, play gym etc. that will motivate them to come to school every day with excitement
and joy in their hearts.
LIFE SKILLS :
The main objective of life skills education at RVB is to enable the student to develop self – awareness in becoming a
functional individual and contributing member of society. Ranging from simple skills such as tying laces, doing up
buttons, laying the table to advanced interpersonal and leadership skills these help students understand themselves
and contribute to grow in personal responsibility as well as empower them in challenging situations.
COMMUNITY SERVICE :
There is no service more noble than service unto others. At RVB we will involve the children from the primary years
to sensitize them to the underprivileged in society. Some of the proposed activities will include working with various
NGOs to help the underprivileged, collection drives such as blankets, books, clothes, perishables (food items) to help
the needy during times of natural disasters. On occasions such as Diwali , Founder’s Day and Children’s Day ,
Our students will connect with less privileged children and help make their days become brighter and more hopeful.
